time isn’t something to waste
It’s precious, not everyone has it.
we’ll never feel like we have enough.
wasting what we have,
we’ll always want more.
What’s right in front of us thrown away,
discarded, trash.
Eyes set on the future,
mind on the past
thoughts anywhere but the present.
we say we know
But we don’t.
It’s only when we’ve run the race,
passed the time,
we finally see, with open eyes
what we had and what we lost.
wasted time, too much
spent on that which never mattered
so don’t go wasting tomorrow worrying
about what they did yesterday,
their imperfections.
don’t throw away time
because you can’t get it back,
and if we don’t forgive
we can never really live
